A fast-paced and vibrant event that invited Moldovan citizens to discover the past, the present and open the door into the future of the public libraries in Moldova
On Tuesday, December 3, 2013, IREX’s Novateca program, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the National Library, the Moldovan Library Association, and the Moldovan library community, organized the first “Library Innovations Fair” to showcase and discuss the most innovative services and practices in libraries across Moldova.
Novateca wants to support Peace Corps Volunteers and your work in community public libraries. To kick off more partnerships in libraries this fall, we are initiating a Peace Corps-Novateca Challenge. We want to support your current or intended work with your local public library to provide new services and programs for the community. New services and programs at the public library might include:
Novateca is pleased to announce that the “Gheorghe Voda” Public Library from Valeni, Cahul, is the first participant registered for the Library Innovations Fair. Novateca received the application form completed online by Mrs. Zinaida Ciobanu, the local librarian. Mrs. Ciobanu accessed the www.targ.novateca.md/ro/inscriere webpage to complete the form and book an exhibition stand where she will present the innovative services her library offers to the Valeni community.
We are pleased to announce that Novateca will organize the Library Innovations Fair on December 3, 2013, in Chisinau. Public libraries all over the country are welcome to participate.
The fair is designed to create a favorable environment for librarians to share their experience in providing Moldovan communities with innovative services, as well as to inform about the ways they help improve community lives.
Libraries interested to participate in the fair as exhibitors, can register online and make a stand reservation by completing the following application form: targ.novateca.md/ro/inscriere.
Please, note that the number of stands is limited. The deadline for registration is November 1!
